1. Cathedral of the Holy Name.
LOCATION: Colaba
The Cathedral of the Holy Name may not be as well-known as Mount Mary in Bandra, but it is without a doubt one of the most magnificent cathedrals in the city. The cathedral is located in one of the city's biggest tourist areas, Colaba, yet once inside, you will discover peace and tranquillity. The cathedral, built in 1905, is an enormous Gothic-style masterpiece with spectacular towers and domes.

Can you believe there is a waterfall in the middle of a metropolis like Mumbai? It's difficult to fathom, but it's true. This is a wonderful spot to visit on the weekends or during the holidays. You may either immerse yourself in the cool water or simply sit alongside it and enjoy the vista. You may also go to the Buddhist caves and the Khargar highlands. 3. Kolad

4. Jawhar
LOCATION: Palghar

LOCATION: Maharashtra
Morachi Chincholi is a peaceful escape to nature as is an eco-village that gives shelter to over 2500 peacock and peafowl. It is one of the most interesting unknown places around Mumbai that offers enough surprises to be encountered on an adventurous weekend. It is believed that the Peshwas planted tamarind trees here which attracted peacocks, making it a present-day hub of these beautiful creatures. This is among the most exotic places near Mumbai.

Plan a visit to this Dargah in Byculla if you're looking for a cultural encounter that's also a nice escape from the city's turmoil. At this architectural masterpiece in the heart of Mumbai, you'll be exposed to a world rich in culture, history, and beauty. Take note that only Aga Khani Khojas are authorised to pay their respects at Hasan Ali Shah's tomb. However, you might still get to view its beauty from outside.
7. Gilbert Hill
LOCATION: Andheri
This massive monolithic rock was formed by a volcanic explosion over 66 million years ago, and it attracts nature lovers from all around town. This 200-foot-tall tower also has two Hindu temples on top and provides stunning views of the metropolitan cityscape.
8. Bassein Fort
LOCATION: Vasai
Vasai Fort, also known as Bassein Fort (its original Portuguese name), is a wonderful one-day excursion with abandoned churches and a stunning view of the Arabian Sea. The fort is divided into three sections: a church, a chapel, and the lengthy stretch of the fort itself. You can view the magnificent blue Arabian Sea against the backdrop of the setting sun if you go around a bit and climb up the steps at the major church.
LOCATION: Dharavi
This 37-acre plot of land was previously one of Mumbai's largest dumping sites, but it has been transformed into a beautiful forest park. If you enjoy nature, we recommend heading down to see the diversity of trees, birds, and butterflies that can be found right in the heart of metropolitan Mumbai. The park opens at 8:30 a.m. and closes at 3:30 p.m., with an admission charge of INR 20 (even lower if you're a learner).
10. Dahanu Beach
LOCATION: Palghar
Another hidden gem, the beach is situated along National Highway 8 and is one of the greatest locations to go for some much-needed peace and solitude. Dahanu Beach has magnificent meadows, orchards, golden sands, and several temples nearby.
